VA of the Year-Scotland Shortlisted!
I am delighted to announce that I have been shortlisted as VA of the Year, Scotland!
Earlier this year, the BeMyVA awards were opened to nominations.
Following on from some great feedback from my clients and being inspired by a recent course I attended I decided that now was the time to blow my own trumpet and enter.
This is one thing many business owners struggle with. We can all easily sing the praises of a colleague or a fellow business person however when it comes to ourselves we falter at the first hurdle. How many of us have struggled to write copy for our website? Or to write a speech to explain our job to others? Perhaps some of us just struggle to say "I'm good at what I do" to others in public.
Well that's what new found confidence has helped me to do. There's little point me knowing that I'm good at what I do but others need to know it too!. So with this extra confidence and my clients testimonials to assist me, I swallowed my inherent modesty and applied.
On the 15th March I was shocked to discover I had been shortlisted, to which ensued some celebratory mayhem and a real sense of pride.
My advice to you all is to get yourselves out there and blow your own trumpet; you never know where it will lead you. If your clients think you're great and you know you are great then the world is your oyster.
I know who my competition is and I can honestly say, hand on my heart, it is an honour to be shortlisted with them. There'll be much crossing of fingers for the next stage in this neck of the woods but, you know what? I know I'm good at what I do and I only offer my clients the very best! Wish me luck!
